ChonX terms of use
Last updated: 27 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply to the ChonX mobile app, provided by Orzynex Innovations FZE LLC (“OrzyneX”, “we”, “us”). By using ChonX you agree to them. If you use ChonX through your school, your school has also agreed to them on behalf of its users.
Who can use ChonX
ChonX is for schools and for the administrators, teachers, sustainability champions and students those schools invite. Students aged 13 and over can join only with an invitation or access code from their school’s ChonX administrator. For younger students, a teacher or administrator records eco-actions on their behalf. Students use ChonX under the supervision of their school. The school is responsible for obtaining any consent from parents or guardians that the law requires.
Your account
- Keep your login details private and do not share your account.
- Give accurate information about yourself and your school.
- Tell your teacher or school administrator if you think someone else has used your account.
Using ChonX fairly
When you use ChonX you agree to:
- Log only eco-actions you have really done.
- Upload only photos you took yourself, and avoid photos that show people’s faces.
- Not upload anything harmful, offensive, unlawful or belonging to someone else.
- Not cheat, misuse the points system or interfere with how ChonX works.
- Treat other users with respect.
Teachers and administrators may reject a submission. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
Points, streaks and leaderboards
Points, streaks, badges and leaderboard positions recognise participation. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money. Any prize a school chooses to offer is the school’s own responsibility.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. You give us permission to store and display them within ChonX so that the service can work, for example so your teacher can verify a submission.
Chonbot
Chonbot is an AI eco-coach. Its replies are generated automatically and may sometimes be wrong or incomplete. Treat them as suggestions, not as professional advice, and check with a teacher if you are unsure.
What schools are responsible for
- Deciding which students and staff have accounts, and issuing invitations or access codes only to them.
- Obtaining any parental or guardian consent that the law requires.
- Supervising how their students use ChonX and verifying submissions.
- Telling us when an account should be closed.
Our rights in ChonX
ChonX, including its name, design, software and content we provide, belongs to OrzyneX. You may use it only as these terms allow. You may not copy, modify or resell it.
Changes and availability
We are improving ChonX and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep ChonX available but cannot promise it will always be free of interruptions or errors. We may update these terms; the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
Ending use
A school or user may stop using ChonX at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. Our privacy policy explains what happens to information when an account closes.
Our responsibility to you
ChonX is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, OrzyneX is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of ChonX. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
